Celkon Mobile Cup 2013 final was played between India and Sri Lanka. India won the toss and elected to field first. Dhoni’s decision to field first was not got in vain as they restricted Sri Lanka to 201 / 10 in 48.5 Overs. Sri Lanka Batting first lost its first wicket in 7th over and second wicket in 13th over both the wickets were taken by B. Kumar. Sri Lanka manage to recover from the two losses and had 3rd wicket partnership of 122 runs in 148 balls ( L Thirimanne & K Sangakkara) and it was looking like that Sri Lanka will be able to make a good total but Ashwin broke the partnership and then after that whole team collapses. Sri Lanka lost its next 6 wickets in just 26 runs. From India R. Jadeja took 4 wickets in 7.5 overs and gave 23 runs.

Now it was India’s turn to bat.Restricting SriLanka to 201,India made a slow start and in the 8.4 over Shikhar Dhavan got out by Eranga. Kohli too could not stand long and in the 10.4 over he also got dismissed by Eranga .After that Kartik and Rohit had a 50 run partnership for the 3rd wicket and 62 run partnership for the 4th wicket between Rohit and Raina. Coming in at the fall of Suresh Raina’s wicket with India in a spot of bother at 145 for five in the 35th over and the next two wickets fell in just 7 runs.India were now 152/7 in 37.2 over. India was in trouble now,but the captain cool kept his nerves and took the innings till the end where in the last over India had to make 15 runs.Needing 15 from the last over in their chase of 202, Dhoni smashed Shaminda Eranga for two sixes and a boundary in just four balls to finish off the game in style at the Queen’s Park Oval.
