Indian Premier League (IPL) era has been started in 2008 and till date six seasons have passed of this twenty-twenty cricket championship. This time auctions are likely to be held in rupees rather than in dollars due to fluctuating exchange rates. Shift from dollars to INR is feasible as the league is based in India and the franchises also want to fix their amount for their team in the Indian rate so that they can easily figure out exact salary for each player.
A new turn in IPL 2014
As the Indian Premier League has formed with 10 teams but due to some critical circumstances Kochi Tuskers were terminated, so the team reduced to nine. Subsequently, this change will impact a lot on team players as well as on the economic revenue. Now, the enjoyment of 76 matches has reduced to 74 where all the teams will be participating in 14 matches. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief, Jagmohan Dalmia said that no cheerleaders and strategic timeouts happened during the IPL season 2014. Other things like if anyone of the team player indulge in illegal activities then the owners of that team will be held accountable. This concept should be followed in the upcoming 2014 season to keep away fixing in the IPL matches.
