Big Moment, the finals of the DLF IPL 2010 is scheduled tonight between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at DY Patil Stadium Mumbai. Mumbai Indians stand at the number position in the points table after winning 10 matches out of the 14 which they played, on the other hand Chennai Super Kings remain at the third position in the points tally. They won 7 matches out of the 14.

Mumbai Indians has the best team combination so far in the tournament, only concern with them tonight is the presence of the skipper Sachin Tendulkar for the match. Sachin has injured his fingers of the right hand in the semi finals. On the other hand Chennai Super Kings has the skipper Mahender Singh Dhoni who can change the path of the match any time with his decision. So tonight’s final is between the two great son of Indian Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar and Mahender Singh Dhoni, let’s see who can be able to hold the trophy.

So, we will have to wait and watch for tonight’s big final.

Weather Sachin Tendulkar is playing on tonight or not? The answer is not yet clear, but as far as his hands in concerned, it is not yet that much that he would join the match tonight. As per Sunil Gavaskar, he wont be able to wear the gloves properly, so seems impossible to bat tonight. Right now (at 6:40 PM) he is doing a bit of batting practice, does it mean that he is coming up in the match. So the third wicket goes down for the Chennai Super Kings, and it is the wicket of Badrinath taken by Fernando again, catch was taken by Mallinga. Brilliant performance by the Lankan duo.

Pollard did the magic for Mumbai Indians, big wicket, Mathew Hayden departs. CSK is now 47 for the loss of 2 wickets in 8.4 Overs.

That’s the end of the innings of the Murali Vijay, Dilharra Fernando got his wicket, Tiwary took the catch. CSK are now one wicket down for 44 at 7.2 Overs.

So Mumbai Indians gave only 40 runs in the power play, despite the fact that dangerous Mathew Hayden was batting. Though they wont be able to get any wicket, but it’s a good start for them.

As we all know that Deccan Chargers are the defending champions, but they were written off by many cricket experts during the tournament, and still they came back, and win five consecutive matches to reach to the semi finals.

On the other hand Chennai Super Kings managed to reach to the finals of the DLF IPL 2008, but lost to Rajasthan Royals in the final, and again managed to reach to the semi finals of the DLF IPL 2009, but again lost to the Royal Challengers Bangalore. This year too there was a time when they were not in a picture of reaching to the semis, but it was the brilliant knock of skipper Mahender Singh Dhoni, against Kings XI Punjab, which cleared the path for them towards the semi final. And tonight Mahender Singh Dhoni will be looking ahead to reach to the finals of the DLF IPL 2010 and play against the Mumbai Indians.

Much needed break through for the Chennai Super Kings, and what a wicket it is, Gilchrist got out by Bollingers. So Chargers are struggling at the moment at 19 for the loss of 1 wicket at 5.1 Overs.

So 143 is what all about Deccan Chargers will need to face Mumbai Indians on the Sunday’s big final. It was the poor performance by the Chennai Super Kings in the batting which brought Chargers into the strong position. Looking the batting line ups of the Chargers 143 does not seems that much bigger target, though as the batting line up of Dhoni and team failed, so nothing can be said strongly for the chargers too.

I am a bit surprised to see that RCB and Deccan Chargers, the finalist of the last year’s IPL is again in the semi finals, and these are chances that they two can be in the finals too. Well nothing can be said at this moment though, it is Sachin Tendulkar who is leading his team Mumbai Indians from the front and happy to bring the team to the semis. He would be pleased to reach to the finals of the IPL 2010 in front of the crowd from his own town.

Earlier this match was scheduled at Bangalore, but due to some bomb blast of small intensity, IPL organising commitee, does not take risk and shifted the venue to the DY Patil stadium at Mumbai.
